About Our Water

Mill Valley Natural Spring Water originates deep below the Northumberland County forest. The forest is a nature preserve established by the County of Northumberland to enhance and protect the natural environment.

Deep below the forest, ancient glacial deposits have created a series of aquifers containing a virtually unlimited supply of natural water. Where the aquifer is close to the surface, a natural spring can occur. With each rainfall and especially with the melting of winter's snow each spring, these ancient aquifers are "recharged" - a never ending supply!

The aquifer forms an enormous natural filter system. As water slowly passes through the aquifer, some say over thousands of years, impurities are removed while natural minerals are absorbed.
